How do we know that in ‘human nature’ — the ability to care for others, is not simply a result of conditioning as with many other types of behaviour?

To care or not to care, to consider or disregard? But to disregard do you not need to consider?

Consideration — the moments of thought required for a decisive action, is no more a life-long journey as it is a fleeting second.

In a sweeping stroke, scores of lives and experiences are judged. An accumulation of resentment, jealousy, anger and frustration can eliminate the significance of another.

No such disregard goes by unconsidered; but these are impulses — as sudden and as quick as the pressing of the delete key.
